From open and transparent government to the fundamental right of free expression to protecting TABOR and your taxpayer rights, Advance Colorado Legal stands up for everyday Coloradans.

What We Do

Advance Colorado Legal pushes back against government in state and federal courts and has a track record of taking on important cases to protect your Constitutional rights and rein in an overreaching government.

Below are our areas of focus:

School Choice & Parental Rights

We believe strongly in the right to equal educational opportunity for every child in Colorado. Education is the underpinning of society. The professional success, societal integration, and personal achievement of all children, regardless of income, nationality, or language skills is extremely important. Further, parental choice is paramount to a student’s educational attainment. Whether the education is given through a public, private, charter, magnet, traditional, virtual or home school, parents know the best environment for their student’s success.

Freedom of Expression

Our God-given rights to free expression form the bedrock of our democratic republic. Advance Colorado Legal aggressively champions our First Amendment rights and takes aggressive action against any government action that would restrict Coloradans’ right to truthful and unrestricted speech.

Government Transparency & Accountability

Government often prefers to do its business in secret, shutting out the scrutiny of its citizens. And it can bend or break its own laws in pursuit of its policy goals. Advance Colorado Legal has sued the government to stop these practices and ensure that Coloradans have a government that is open, transparent and accountable.

Protecting Taxpayer Rights & TABOR

We stand firmly behind fundamental principles of free enterprise and challenge tax policies with potentially broad implications that could lead to negative, unintended consequences for taxpayers. The Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights (TABOR) gives Coloradans a direct say in government finances that isn’t available to any other state’s citizens. Advance Colorado fights to stop money-hungry politicians’ attempts to get around TABOR.
